Classic Bruschetta Recipe
Ingredients
1 baguette or rustic Italian bread, sliced
3 large Roma tomatoes, diced
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (plus more for brushing)
1–2 cloves garlic, minced
6–8 fresh basil leaves, chopped
1 tsp balsamic vinegar (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Tomatoes
:
Dice the Roma tomatoes and place them in a bowl.
Add minced garlic, olive oil, basil, balsamic vinegar (if using), salt, and black pepper.
Toss everything together and let it sit for 10–15 minutes to develop flavor.
Toast the Bread
:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) or use a grill pan.
Brush the bread slices lightly with olive oil and toast until golden brown and crisp (about 5 minutes per side).
Assemble the Bruschetta
:
Spoon the tomato mixture generously over each toasted bread slice.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
