Classic Bruschetta Recipe

  • Ingredients
    • 1 baguette or rustic Italian bread, sliced
    • 3 large Roma tomatoes, diced
    • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (plus more for brushing)
    • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 6–8 fresh basil leaves, chopped
    • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar (optional)
    • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Instructions
    1. Prepare the Tomatoes:
      • Dice the Roma tomatoes and place them in a bowl.
      • Add minced garlic, olive oil, basil, balsamic vinegar (if using), salt, and black pepper.
      • Toss everything together and let it sit for 10–15 minutes to develop flavor.
    2. Toast the Bread:
      • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) or use a grill pan.
      • Brush the bread slices lightly with olive oil and toast until golden brown and crisp (about 5 minutes per side).
    3. Assemble the Bruschetta:
      • Spoon the tomato mixture generously over each toasted bread slice.
      • Serve immediately and enjoy!
